- John Hopkins devoted his life to serving the Lord after his wife passed away in 2005. He was a mentor and spiritual counselor for 3 years at Elpetra Ministries in Vredenburg, South Africa, which is a restoration centre for those with addiction problems. He has since retired to Siyabonga Care Village in Vredenburg. This is where the Lord has finally allowed him to receive the frail care treatment his ailing body ( Emphysema and cancer) has been needing. John neglected his health-care requirements for the sake of his spiritual mission at Elpetra and completing the Lord's work. In his time at Elpetra he wrote 4 books. Whilst at Siyabonga, he wrote his 5th and final book titled, “ Escape from Babylon”, whilst he, himself, prepared to go Home to receive his reward. “The lives that John touched at Elpetra will never be the same and bear testimony of his love and influence. It was an honour to know, and be taught by, such a true man of God.”
